Role Description
50% Time on
̢ۢ SQL Server Administration
̢ۢ Installation, configuration the database on the internal and production environment
̢ۢ Backup and restore, security management to support all teams within the organization
̢ۢ Monitor the internal and production servers regularly and be responsible for system error diagnosis and troubleshooting as well as with proactively addressing potential systems
̢ۢ Maintain a security SQL server environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery if necessary
̢ۢ Be responsible for database capacity planning and resource management including storage and operating system resources
̢ۢ Establish and maintain the operational procedures and conduct database auditing to ensure such policies are complied with
30% Time on
̢ۢ Technical/Product Support
̢ۢ Prepare and test the database upgrade package, and maintain the database versions, patches and hot fixes
̢ۢ Control the product licenses and prepare the database distribution
̢ۢ Lead ongoing database and system performance monitoring in order to proactively diagnose potential performance issues and participate in troubleshooting those to ensure optimum performance
̢ۢ Identify poorly performing queries, stored procedures, views, tables, and take steps to improve performance including, but not limited to code optimization
̢ۢ Provide 24*7 support for critical situations on call support 30
10% Time on
̢ۢ Scripting Language
̢ۢ Be able to create the script to automate the repetitive tasks
̢ۢ Continuous Improvements
̢ۢ Initiative to improve and database team process to increase the team productivity
̢ۢ Participate the database team̢۪s backlogs and have a ability to explore SQL Server new features in the product suite
Mandatory Skills
The skills are required, but not limited to:
̢ۢ Strong and proven experience in backup and recovery models including but not limited to full, differential and log backups and recovery models
̢ۢ Proven experience in high availability and disaster recovery techniques including but not limited to cluster and replication
̢ۢ Fully understand and well experience in the server role, database role, SQL user, windows user and groups, grant and revoke statements
̢ۢ Understand and administrate in the SSIS, SSRS
̢ۢ Fully understand and well experience in SQL profiler, performance monitor, and SQL execution plan
̢ۢ Scripting Language
