| Job Description | Job Summary & Responsibilities Strong.NET/Java developer to help manage our Production Environment that supports Banking applications. Production Management team is responsible for monitoring and supporting all production applications running in our environment. The team interacts directly with the business and provides critical support for them to ensure that the business operates smoothly. The Production Management Team is also responsible for working with application teams to assist in application bug fixes, co-ordinating Business Continuity Planning activities, and Quality Assurance. The candidate should be a dynamic, client-oriented individual with good problem solving and analytical skills. The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: Work closely with the global business and provide support for any application related issues, including batch jobs and feeds. Monitor batch jobs, system health and be able to resolve issues appropriately. Work with application teams to help them fix bugs and minor feature enhancements. Document issue resolution systematically for future reference and help track issues for better management reporting. Work with the QA team and liaise with app dev teams to test changes made by application teams on major releases. Liaise with other teams, within the broader Technology Organization, e.g. DBAs, SAs, Help Desk, Application Dev Teams and Tech Infrastructure teams to co-ordinate the fix for any user issues. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Investment Banking business including the Financial Group business, supporting bankers and traders on a daily basis with any of their application related issues. Must Have • 5+ years experience in developing and supporting applications (Web/Windows) Must have worked on technologies like .NET (C#, ASP.NET) or Java (JSP, Struts, JavaScript) Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Design & Principles Strong Database (SQL) skills Experience in building SSIS packages & ETL a plus • Windows XP, Unix, Sybase familiarity • JBoss/Tomcat Application Servers a plus Automated Testing and Build Tools (e.g. QTP) a plus Strong Communication skills Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to perform under pressure in time-critical situations using sound judgment Good interpersonal, business-facing skills This is a permanent position based in Bangalore.
